The first program began at the Vermont Veterans Home (VVH) in Bennington VT. Little did I know that this one program would bloom in ways I could not even imagine! It now cares for about eighteen residents a day. When I left VVH, I began a wonderful relationship with EPOCH Senior Living who developed Namaste Care in six of their skilled nursing facilities. Cascade Living Group opened their first assisted living Namaste Care Program at Ashley Gardens Alzheimer's Care assisted living community located in Bremerton Washington; Hearthstone Alzheimer's Care has also opened Namaste Care in their assisted living community, located in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. From one end of the United States to the other, Namaste Care is changing lives.

Even though Namaste Care is based on palliative principles, I never dreamed it would find a home in a hospice organization. Then I had the pleasure of meeting Russell Hilliard the Executive Director of Seasons Hospice in Chicago Ill. who asked me to develop a program based on Namaste Care for all of their sites.

These programs are just the one's I have personally implemented, but from the e-mails I receive, I know Namaste Care is spreading throughout the United States. It is changing the way people with advanced are care for, not only medically but now with meaningful activities that help to improve their quality of life.
